Perspective Drawing
We worked through perspective problems throughout the end of the semester. I really enjoyed playing around with the shading and mapping out the angles.

Portraits
The course had us working through both self portraits and portraits of statues. These were fun to work on. It was interesting to work through the measurements of the face.

Shoes
The shoe still life study was something that we spent a lot of time on. It was fun to study the way the light can hit different materials and create different shadows.

Series of 4 Drawings with Conte Crayon on White Drawing Paper
Project: Create 4 Drawings on any subject you want with any medium we studied in the course (charcoal, conte crayon)
For this series, I wanted to further explore shoes. We had worked with shoes earlier in the semester, and it was one of my favorite studies. In the top left, it is my sneakers laid in front of the dresser in my dorm.
The top right, a combined study of shoes and fabric with my hoodie sleeves draped over the bed behind my shoe rack. The bottom left, the shoes draped over the corner of my closet door. The bottom right, an aerial view of me attempting to put my sneakers on.
Drawing I Final Series
Charcoal on white drawing paper
Project: Draw the still life from your perspective
We worked through this problem with multiple mediums from various perspectives. Through this, we were learning how the light can hit different objects and how to create various grays on paper.
Still Life
Conte Crayon on yellow drawing paper
Project: Stand anywhere around the room and drawing the shoes from your perspective.
With this, we started understanding different fabrics and materials. This expanded our views on how to create shading on paper through cross hatching.
Shoe Study
Charcoal and White conte crayon on gray drawing paper
Project: Draw the sculpture from your perspective using white conte crayon and charcoal.
This project was a lot of fun. This drawing was part of the beginning of our portrait studies. It was also the first time we were allowed to use white crayon.
Portrait of an Old Man
Charcoal on gray drawing paper
This project was a lot of fun. I wanted to show dimension with the drapery and the chair.
